There's a cloud
Settling in around me. It follows as a dim reminder of things yet to come. Expectancy of the day I can’t seem to prepare for.
Slight shift and brilliant sun shines through, reflecting off everything that surrounds me. Glowing with intensity, unrealistic but within reach, touchable. Extending all hands forward I find myself Bounding toward the lights. For a moment, all is in color, beautiful...
Running.
My pulse quickens as I check the timer, falling in tune with fate. Running only as fast as my mind allows me to go, wishing I could evade these thoughts. For awhile I had come to think it was a dream, I began to relax.
But that small instance, I saw the eyes as they followed. There are somethings that will never stop pursuit. Do I want you to? No. At least I wish it was an entire no. That small...
Knowing.
I’m trying not to lose my head. I’m trying to keep my own. Slowly, I will learn the difference, but as of now all we know is distance.
Break apart this instict, lock away what I can’t seem to say.

Rhythm.
As the inevitable catches up with us, reality peirces the surface and I fall in step with time again as it slowly dwindles away. Creating each second, writing my own script.
Our paths intertwine, twisting deeper, meshing harder, to the point where I cannot find where mine starts and yours ends.
As we follow time’s lead, our own foot steps synchronize to the same rhythm.

It is no longer This, that I crave. An artificial touch that can move me.
Deep desire of something more, claiming depth within these shallow waters of superficial waves.
